From August 26 to 28, at the IOTE 2026 Shenzhen International Internet of Things Exhibition, Chasing Light Technology and JETON Technology jointly unveiled three RFID devices integrated with Organic Photovoltaic (OPV) technology: the MicroLight Ultra-Thin Temperature Monitoring Tag, the MicroLight Personnel Detection Tag, and the MicroLight Electronic Tag.


As a leading company in the RFID industry, JETON Technology offers a comprehensive portfolio of RFID solutions, including RFID gate systems, readers, and electronic tags. Its products are widely deployed across a wide range of applications, including asset management, waste sorting and sanitation, shared electric mobility, smart manufacturing, warehousing, and inventory management.


The newly launched OPV-powered IoT devices further enhance sustainability and low-carbon performance. More significantly, they signal a broader industry trend: as IoT continues to evolve, demand for greener, lower-carbon, and longer-lasting power solutions is steadily increasing.

MicroLight Ultra-Thin Temperature Monitoring Tag
Designed for reusable containers, cold chain packaging, and warehouse applications.



  • Ultra-Thin Design: At just 2.5 mm thick, the tag represents a major breakthrough in ultra-thin RFID design. Leveraging the flexible and ultra-thin characteristics of Organic Photovoltaic (OPV) technology, it delivers an exceptionally slim form factor.


  • Efficient Deployment: Its ultra-thin profile is optimized for automated installation, replacing traditional manual application to significantly improve deployment efficiency while reducing labor costs.


  • Reliable Operation in Low-Light Conditions: Powered by OPV's low-light energy harvesting capability, the tag operates maintenance-free without battery replacement in low-illumination environments such as reusable containers, cold chain packaging, and warehouses, delivering continuous and reliable temperature monitoring.



MicroLight Personnel Detection Tag
Designed for indoor emergency evacuation applications.



  • Wire-Free, Battery-Free Operation: Powered by integrated OPV low-light energy harvesting technology, the tag requires neither mains wiring nor battery replacement. It is ready to deploy upon installation and operates virtually maintenance-free.


  • Designed for Diverse Indoor Environments: With an operating temperature range of –10°C to 55°C and humidity tolerance of 5%–95% RH (non-condensing), the tag is well suited for office buildings, hospitals, schools, hotels, underground parking facilities, and other indoor applications.


  • Instant Emergency Alerts: Upon receiving a fire alarm signal, the tag immediately activates a high-decibel audible and visual alarm to help guide rapid and orderly evacuation.



MicroLight Electronic Tag
Designed for outdoor asset and inventory management applications.



  • Self-Sustaining Power: Powered by an integrated OPV module and an onboard supercapacitor, the tag autonomously charges and discharges around the clock. With no external power supply required, it significantly reduces both installation complexity and operating costs.


  • Built for Outdoor Environments: Designed to withstand harsh outdoor conditions, the tag offers reliable resistance to water, dust, and prolonged sun exposure.


  • Highly Visible Status Indication: A tri-color LED indicator provides status visibility from up to 50 meters, enabling fast and intuitive monitoring of the tag's operating status.
